Following one of the most exciting and significant developments in the company’s recent history, in May, Soyang became the official distributor for Platinum Technologies LIYU – formerly known as LIYU Technologies – in Great Britain.
This granted Soyang access to the entire Platinum Technologies LIYU range of solutions, with UK print businesses seeking further insight into these technologies able to see certain machines in action at Soyang’s professional demonstration facility in Accrington.
On top of this, Soyang has taken its largest stand at The Sign Show, with attendees able to explore a range of solutions on stand S410 near the front of the event, which this year will again be co-located with The Print Show, allowing attendees with interests in print to explore the very latest advancements in sign-making.
On this note, Soyang has a heavy presence in the print sector with partnerships in place with major manufacturers such as Mimaki, as well as within the finishing area of the market with major manufacturers such as Vivid Laminating Technologies, Kala, Meevo and Solent Sewing.
With The Print Show, the first major UK exhibition since the deal was completed, Soyang is now gearing up to use the event to showcase several solutions from the Platinum Technologies LIYU range to visitors.
“The Print Show comes at the perfect time for us,” says Mark Mashiter, group CEO of Soyang Group, continuing: “The addition of the Platinum Technologies LIYU portfolio represents a major milestone for Soyang and gives us an even broader range of solutions to offer customers across the UK. We’re looking forward to demonstrating exactly what these systems are capable of in a live exhibition environment.”
Exceptional productivity
Thanks to its large stand, Soyang can showcase multiple Platinum Technologies LIYU machines at this autumn’s event. Mashiter notes that these solutions will attract visitors from the sign, display, and wide-format print sectors, as well as firms seeking to expand into new applications.
“Visitors will have the opportunity to view a wide range of our technology offerings and discuss with our team the most suitable solutions for their needs, whether they are investing in new equipment or exploring alternative applications,” he explains.
Among the devices on display will be the Signature Series UV hybrid printer, billed by Soyang as the “perfect fusion of performance, precision, and versatility”. With a maximum printing width of 3.2m and a top speed of 350sq m/hr, the machine has been developed for professional and industrial applications requiring consistent output quality across diverse substrates.
According to Soyang, the Signature Series is for a wide range of applications, including architectural and commercial signage, interior décor and customised surface applications, glass, acrylic, MDF and composite panel production, premium retail graphics and exhibition systems, as well as industrial and short-run customised production.
Also on show will be the Platinum KCXL, a flatbed machine that Soyang says combines stable motion control, precision media positioning and efficient daily operation to support continuous industrial production environments.
Key features of the Platinum KCXL include a 3.2m-wide printing area and top speed of 350sq m/hr, as well as the ability to print on materials up to 50mm thick and at a resolution of 2400dpi.
Visitors can also get a first-hand look at the Liyu Platinum PCT LED, a roll-to-roll machine that can print at 120sq m/hr on media as wide as 3.2m. Like its sister machines, Mashiter says the solution was designed with versatility in mind, with the device delivering vibrant, high-quality prints across various materials, making it suitable for signage, textile, promotional graphics and interior décor applications.
“One of the biggest strengths of the Platinum Technologies LIYU range is its versatility,” Mashiter says, adding: “Each system has been designed to deliver exceptional productivity without compromising on quality, whether customers are working on rigid boards, roll media or specialist materials.
“We want visitors to come away from The Print Show with a clear understanding that whatever their production requirements, Soyang can now offer a technology solution to help them grow.
“As well as expanding access to Platinum Technologies LIYU, we want customers to know they’re getting the level of technical support and aftersales service that underpins everything we do. Investing in equipment is a long-term decision, and having the right team behind you is just as important as the machine itself.”
Material matters
While the focus for Soyang at The Print Show this year will very much be on the expanded hardware offering, specialist staff from the supplier will be on hand to speak with visitors about the company’s wide range of material solutions.
Soyang is one of the UK’s leading distributors of printable media, supplying products for applications spanning signage, display graphics, exhibition stands, retail, interior décor and textiles. Its portfolio includes PVC and PVC-free materials, textiles, self-adhesive vinyls, wallcoverings, backlit media and banner products, with options to suit everything from short-term promotional campaigns to longer-term installations.
Visitors will be able to discuss how different materials can be paired with the latest print technology to achieve the best results across a range of applications. With sustainability continuing to be a key consideration for many businesses, Soyang will also be available to advise on environmentally conscious alternatives, including recyclable and PVC-free media.
“Whether visitors are interested in new print technology, specialist media or complete production solutions, we’re excited to show them what’s possible and discuss how we can support their future growth,” Mashiter says.
“The event will give us an excellent opportunity to understand the challenges businesses are facing and discuss how Soyang can support their future growth.”
