Suzi Ward

With the organisation set to play a major role across several areas of The Sign Show 2025, we spoke with Suzi Ward, managing director of FESPA UK, to learn more about the association’s plans for the inaugural event.

What does FESPA UK offer to the industry?

At FESPA UK our mission is to support, connect, and inspire. We’re not just here to talk, we’re here to make a real difference. Everything we do is focused on empowering our members with projects that truly matter, helping them succeed and thrive.

We’re proud to deliver genuine value through initiatives that tackle real-world challenges. Our Waste Accreditation Scheme is a prime example, offering businesses a responsible, transparent, and credible solution for managing both their own waste and that of their clients. It’s about sustainability with integrity.

Another initiative close to my heart is our Next Generation project, a platform that shines a spotlight on the incredible talent entering our industry. It’s inspiring to see fresh ideas and energy being nurtured and celebrated. At FESPA UK, we’re proud to be a positive force for change, championing innovation, collaboration, and the open sharing of knowledge.

Why are you supporting The Sign Show?

We’re thrilled to be supporting The Sign Show this year with not just one, but two exciting stands that showcase the values and initiatives we’re so passionate about.

On the School of Wrap, we’ll be spotlighting our Waste Accreditation Scheme by collecting and responsibly recycling all the vinyl and backing paper waste generated during the feature. It’s a powerful reminder that even small amounts of material can be disposed of sustainably, when the commitment is there, positive change is possible.

We’re also proud to be collaborating with our valued members, CVI Group and All Print Supplies, who will be working alongside us on the stand to run live demonstrations of both vehicle and architectural wrapping throughout the show. Their expertise and hands-on sessions will bring the feature to life and inspire attendees with practical, innovative techniques.

I’m especially excited that our Next Generation committee, led by our very own Molly and Brooke, will also be hosting their own stand, welcoming fellow young professionals to join them throughout the show. With a packed schedule of hands-on learning, inspiring talks, and live interviews, it’s the perfect opportunity for young people in the industry to connect, collaborate, and feel part of a like-minded community.

It’s going to be a great show, and we can’t wait to see the energy, ideas, and innovation come to life on both stands!

In your opinion, why does the industry need a new event like this?

There’s a genuine appetite for a fresh, focused event that celebrates the full spectrum of signage. The Sign Show offers just that, a new space to showcase the latest materials, technology, and talent in the sector. More importantly, it creates a platform for real engagement. It’s not just about walking around stands, it’s about making connections, learning something new, and being inspired. In a time when the industry is rapidly evolving, events like this help us all stay ahead of the curve while building stronger, more resilient networks.

Why should people consider attending?

I get the sense that The Sign Show is being created with the community truly in mind, by people who genuinely care about the industry and want to see it flourish. By attending and supporting this first event, we have the chance to help build something meaningful that could grow and evolve in the years to come.

Whether you’re hoping to meet new suppliers, connect with others in the trade, or just take a moment to feel inspired again, I think there will be something here for all of us. It’s not just about the show, it’s about being part of where the industry goes next.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Just that we’re genuinely proud to be part of such an innovative and passionate industry. The Sign Show and The Print Show represent everything we believe in at FESPA UK: collaboration, education, and progress. We can’t wait to see everyone there, share ideas, and continue building a stronger, more connected community.
